This is a great gadget for separating items and resealing them, like cookies for trips and so on. You just add 2 AA batteries inside to operate -- There is no off/on button to worry about. To use, get the bag you plan on sealing and pinch it together beneath the front end and slowly slide over the wire in order for it to melt the plastic and seal it properly. Do not hold the sealer too tight.

The back of the sealer has a long magnet that will hold tightly to certain surfaces, but not the refrigerator door, so keep that in mind. I mean, it will stick, but tends to slide down. *Be sure to take the batteries out when not in use, In order to store, slide the bar over the wire that heats and put away from children's reach.
