The bag itself when cinched, keeps air as it should be and will not scratch any area of your vehicle. It is soft, but totally durable--thick and well made. It has an easy to use carry bag that allows you to fold up both pieces and store when not in use. The bag's handles are comfortable and allow a better carry overall. In addition, the rubber mat is exactly like another rubber mat that goes on the top of our Pathfinder, when hauling anything that may scratch the roof. It is nice and well made, as well.
